Windows 2000 set-up
The following instructions describe
how to configure a new Windows 2000 dial-up connection
to Mega-Dial.
1. Select the Start menu from the desktop and the click
on Control Panel.
2. Double click the Dial-Up Networking icon. The
following screen will appear:
3. Double click Make New Connection.
4. You will then be asked what kind of connection
you want to create, select dial-up to the Internet
and click next.
5. The Internet connection wizard will appear. Select
I want to set up my Internet connection manually, and
click Next.
6. Select I connect through a phone line and a modem
and then click Next
7. Next, enter the phone number to connect to the
Internet, the number is 0845 123 2022
8. Next enter the User Name and Password which are
mega and dial.
9. Next enter Mega-Dial as your new connection name.
Then click Next.
10. Next you will be asked if you want to set-up an
email account. Select No and click Next.
11. It's as easy as that.! Click Finish on the summary
screen that appears and an icon for Mega-Dial will
be added to your Dial-Up Networking connections window.
To connect, just double click the icon on your desktop.
