Windows XP set-up
The following instructions
describe how to configure a new Windows Xp dial-up
connection to Mega-Dial.
1. Select the Start menu from the desktop and the
click on Control Panel.
2. In the window that opens, click on the Network
Connections icon.
3. The following screen will appear. Select Create
a new connection from the panel on the left ... then
click Next.
4. A wizard will appear, click Next to go to the
first step.
5. First of all you are asked what type of connection
you want to create... select Connect to the Internet
and click Next.
6. Select Set-up my connection manually then click
Next.
7. Next, choose Connect using a dial-up modem and
click Next.
8. Enter Mega-Dial as the name for your new connection.
9. Next you will be asked for the phone number needed
to dial for your new connection. Enter 0845 123 2022.
10. You are now asked for the username and password.
Please enter mega and dial here.
11. Here you have various choices to make which are;
use this account name and password for anyone, make
Mega-Dial the default Internet connection and turn
on firewall for this connection. Make your selections
and click Next.
12. A summary page will then appear with an option
for creating a short-cut on the desktop. When you
have finished viewing the summary page click Finish
and you are ready to use Mega-Dial.
13. To connect, just double click the icon on your
desktop.
